Valentine's Day & Sick Day

Hello my followers,

It's been a pretty OK week, a bit of a rollercoaster.  Valentine's Day was great! Mom came to our party at school, where we had a bunch of snacks that the Moms & Dads brought in for us.  We were all waiting at our tables for the teachers to bring us our plates of goodies, when I just could NOT wait for another minute.  I saw another kid get his plate before me and I just immediately put my head down on the table and spread my arms out and started crying.  I had been saying "YUMMY! YUMMY!" for about 10 minutes now! Give a girl some snacks! Finally, it was my turn for a plate and I inhaled it.  Mom tried to sneak bites off my plate and I had to let her know (again!) this is unacceptable! I also got a bunch of valentines from my friends at school.  Landon obviously has a few fans...What? All kids get the same valentines? No, I refuse to believe that. 

Then my week took a turn when all of a sudden during my Sunday afternoon nap at Poppy's house, I started to feel like complete poo.  I woke up crying and sweating, which is unlike me.  Well, actually I am sort of a head sweater.  Thanks a lot, Dad.  I just wasn't myself after that and when I woke up on Monday, I was still all out of sorts.  So Mom stayed home with me and we went to the doctor.  After getting overly frisky with me, they said I was fine, just a bad cold.  However, that night goo starting coming out of my ear so I had to go to ANOTHER doctor that is only open at night time.  Now I am on the grossest pink medicine ever, but at least I am back to being Landon.  Mom keeps trying to sneak my medicine into my favorite foods, but I am on to her.  I wish she'd stop messing with my snacks! That's crossing the line in my book. 

I start swim lessons on Saturday.  It's a parent/kid class, and both my parents are whining about having to get into their bathing suits in February.  Something about being fat and white as a sheet.  At least they don't have to wear plastic pants in the pool.  Get over it!

Old Folks Time!

Happy and Umpy came to visit this weekend! We had a great time together and if they aren't still at my house when I get home from school today, I am going to be M.A.D.  But I think they did have to leave this morning so I will go back to making do with my parents.  They took me to the aquarium, the park, the bookstore and out to eat a few times.  We even let Mom & Dad tag along. The aquarium was the BEST! I just could not get a hold on my excitement.  There was lots of squealing, screaming in joy, me breaking into dance, jumping around and running.  Needless to say, I napped and slept well this weekend.  All my excitement really did me in.

Saturday we went to Poppy's for dinner and I got to have (almost) all my people in one place! The adults all had a nice time catching up but it was mostly about me.  I had a larger audience than usual so I took advantage, setting my newfound jumping skills to Beyonce's "Single Ladies". 

Yesterday I had my second date with Preston.  He still is not showing much interest in me, but I will take it as a positive sign that he did not sleep through this entire date.  Just most of it.  And I got to kiss him on the head.  Again, I did not see much of a response from him, but I will wear him down!

Happy Valentine's Day week! We have a party on Thursday at school.  I can't wait! Mom is coming to the party and hopefully Dad too.  But if Dad can't make it, at least that frees up a few cupcakes for others.  So it's a win-win.
