Me, lately.

Waiting on Beau to come over, playing with my new fridge magnets.
Rocking my new shoes (Mom won this battle. Grrrrr.  Says sometimes shoes are necessary as I get older).
Me and Patrick waiting to go in the Zoo!
Me and one of the Panda bears.  I am trying to show Mom the ceiling fan above her head.  I found it as fascinating as the animals.
Playing after school last week.

Hi everyone. Just thought I would give you an update on my life. I am taking more steps and yes, I finally showed my Mom & Dad. They were really excited, but it's sort of old news to me. So I take a step or two and then decide to sit down and move on to something else. I am all over the house these days, and my parents have ghetto-rigged everything fun. They blocked the bottom of the stairs and they rubber banded all the cabinets closed. Except for one cabinet that holds tupperware. Which is fun for about 18 seconds until you realize you are playing with tupperware and that is pretty lame.

I went to the zoo last weekend with my friend Patrick.  I was sort of interested in the animals, but mostly I was into people watching, looking at signs, and wishing mom would buy me a snack.  At least she and Patrick's mom took us to get mexican food after the zoo and I got to eat a quesadilla.  I had pizza for the first time last night - YUM! I am sure I will find a reason to spit it out next time I am given it though.  That's always fun - love watching Mom get annoyed and Dad get mad cause there is food mess during dinner (hilarious - I guess he thought babies could eat without making crumbs??).

Beau came over last night for pizza.  He sort of paid attention to me but was mostly interested in chasing my cat Tallulah around.  I don't know why he thought she was so interesting.  She just sits there and does absolutely nothing.  But to each their own I suppose.

I turned 11 months on Saturday...so that means the countdown is on for birthday number 1! 28 shopping days left people!

Weekend in Raleigh

Me and Umpy. He was giving me the grand tour of where Aunt Margot was getting married.

Taking a nap next to Umpy. And no, I don't miss many meals...

More of the view from Umpy's shoulders! I was taller than Dad!

Me and Aunt Margot at her Bridesmaid lunch!

Umpy with his granddaugthers...sharing is hard for me but I am trying!

Hanging out with Mabel. She really doesn't do much...

Taking a wedding day nap with the Bride!

Aunt Margot and Uncle Will - JUST MARRIED! Me and the beautiful bride! Mabel and I had matching dresses.

Hi everyone!

I have been so tired from my big weekend in North Carolina that I haven't been able to tell you all about it! We had a great time at Margot & Will's wedding. He is now officially my Uncle Will (wait what? That's not what the whole ceremony was about??). I got to meet LOTS of family on both sides who had never seen my pretty face before. Lots of people asking to hold me, telling me how cute I was, etc etc. It was hard being the most important person of the weekend. Aunt Margot had probably had enough of me stealing the show.

But she did look so gorgeous on her wedding day that she stole it right back!

During the little bit of downtime we had, I had a great time playing with my baby cousin Mabel. I am 7 months older than her. This seems like an eternity right now (i.e. she is about as mobile as a potted plant, can't do anything) but I think we will have the best time when we're a little bit older! But I did have to show her who was boss. This included head butts, trying to bite her head, licking her head, gently hitting her face, etc. I can't wait to see her again. Hopefully she will be a little more fun next time. Otherwise I'd just as soon stay home and play with a stuffed animal for the same effect...

Yep, still taking steps at school. Nope, still not showing Mom and Dad at home. HAHA! I actually don't do much at home. At school I eat spaghetti, baked ziti, chicken nuggets. At home, if Mom tries to feed me any of that, I spit it right out. My teacher tells Mom we all eat at school because of the "pack mentality". No one wants to be that loser kid who still eats baby food. But I just like giving my Mom a hard time and seeing her get worked up. I don't think I will ever stop getting a kick out of that! Shhh...don't tell her.

Love you!

Happy Easter!

Um, tell me that's not scary...

Beau was a great pusher! He took me all around the house!

Easter Parade at school last week! I did not want to wear the Easter hat they made...no way.

Lunch with Mom on Friday

Stealing Patrick's snacks...

Hi everyone!

So this was my first Easter, obviously. It wasn't all that awesome, considering I can't eat candy yet and it involved a giant terrifying bunny. But I did have a good Easter weekend. Sarah came over on Friday night to play with me. We had a great time watching golf and playing with my toys. I gave her a hard time the first time she babysat me but that was just a test. She passed and now we are BFF.

Saturday we went to see the giant scary bunny. Beau was going to come with us, but he was sick. I think he was faking so he didn't have to go see this thing. Beau - help a girl out! You could have told me what I was getting into! After that we went to my friend Patrick's house to play. I am not sure he's going to invite me over again since I stole all his snacks out of his hand and took his sippy cup. Well, turn your back and I can't promise anything buddy....

Sunday was Easter and we spent the day with Poppy, Sarah, Erin, Beau and Sam. Poppy made us all wonderful Easter baskets and a delicious dinner - I had a few bites! The best part was Beau pushing me around the house on the toy truck. I got the feeling sometimes he was trying to possibly kill me, but all in all he was good big cousin and took good care of me while wheeling me around. I think we're going to be good pals.

Another big weekend coming up! We are heading to NC on Thursday for Aunt Margot's wedding. I will be sure to post pics next week, I have a beautiful dress to wear. You all are going to just be beside yourselves when you see me probably.

OK - gotta go. We have a new teacher here and I have to tell her how things go around this room. They should really just start paying me for keeping order amongst the Bunnies.

Love,

Well, I'm pretty.

Hi everyone!

Charley - stay off my blog! If I leave my phone behind, don't touch it. Who even taught you how to use an iphone you old dinosaur? Geez. Better set a password.

Anywho. Mom and Dad took some pictures of me on Sunday. I have to say, once I saw them, it is clear that I am becoming quite a pretty girl. It's just a fact. And I hardly look like a baby anymore.

In sad news, college basketball season ended last night. Mom has been depressed since last Sunday when the Tar Heels lost, but she's coming around. She even dressed me in a Kansas shirt for the Final Four on Saturday, but mainly because it was Poppy's birthday. (But I still think I look prettier in the UNC shirt, and Dad says pretty is the most important thing.)

In case anyone is wondering about my latest talents, I can stand on my own now and rumor has it I can take steps. Though I am only doing this at school and still refuse to show my parents. HAHAHAHAHA.

Love,
L.E.R.
