Beach "Vacation"

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

I will update you on my Halloween later - it's still a work in progress.

Mom said I have to write "vacation" in quotes since usually vacation conjures up images of lying around, reading a book, no cares in the world, doing whatever you feel like and sleeping in.  This was not that kind of a trip I guess.

Last Wednesday we woke up early and hit the road for Harbor Island, SC.  There we found Aunt Margot, Uncle Tim, Aunt Ellie, my cousin Mabel and some friends of Ellie & Tim's.  We stayed for 3 days.  I was not my most well behaved self.  I don't know if I have a tooth coming in or what, but I was like a true gemini crazy woman while we were there.  One minute I would be a sweet little girl, happily playing.  And then I would turn on you when you least expected it.  I was just showing those other parents how they should enjoy those quiet, little, fairly immobile babies while they can.  Wink Wink.  We went out for dinner on Friday night and while I think all in all I was just fine, Dad says he refuses to eat dinner with me in a restaurant until I am 13. Someone is dramatic.  And it might be both of us.

Overall we really did have a great time, as you can see from our pictures below.  I am glad it's almost Christmas so we can all be together again SOON!

Love,

Oh hey Mabel...I'm probably going to have to take that ball from you, K?

Moms forcing a cousin hug.

Banging on tables is not annoying at all!

Sisters and cousins!

Dinner date

This is Ellie's friend's baby.  She was only 7 months.  I had so much to teach her.

This is how I liked to wake Mabel up from her naps.

Another forced hug...

Playing with Mabel at Hunting Island State Park.

The best shot we could get of Mabel and I looking over the couch.  We were busy!

Sometimes I would go sit over here, just to get away for a minute.  It was like a self-imposed time out.

These are some houses in Beaufort.  Mom was daydreaming about us moving here.

This house was used as a Union hospital during the Civil War.  I have no idea what that means but I am sure someday it will mean something to me.

Look at Mabel's amazing lashes!! I was worried Mom was going to cut them off and steal them the way she kept fawning over them.

Not a bad spot to play :)

Fall Fun!

Hello my followers!

Before I leave on my next adventure, I thought I would catch you up on my life lately.  Last week we went to a farm south of Atlanta with my friend Grail and her Mom & Dad.  I had a really great time, even though I think next year I will enjoy it even more.  I was maybe just still a little too young to really get into it.  But that doesn't mean I didn't try to get my hands on everything and do everything I possibly could! We went on a hayride (it was hot, even though it is October), we walked through a corn maze (Mom had a mini-panic attack when it seemed like we may never get out), we went on a train ride (I had to share a car with my Mom - lame!), we saw a pig race (which Mom filmed for me to watch later over and over, and turns out Dad was cussing in the background, typical.  But we still watch it anyways), and of course we ate! They had fried oreos, but we restrained ourselves and stuck to fries, hot dogs, bbq, etc.
ohmygosh I am so excited to be here!

Ugh! Why do we have to share a car on the train ride!!??

This is what it looks like to grow out your bangs...

But I am still quite cute.

I am about to walk down this row of pumpkins and hit each one.  Just cause.

My friend Grail.  She is about a year older than me so she takes good care of me.

There was a jumpy house! I was still a little unsure about it. But I don't back down from much.

You can't tell but we are on the hayride.  I was getting tired.

Mmmmmm.

Corn Maze.

Which supermarket has better kid carts? Here I am at Publix...

And here I am at Kroger.  Mom was bumping into everything with this one, so let's go with Publix.

Well, that's all I have for now.  We are heading to the beach on Wednesday to see Aunt Margot, Aunt Ellie, Uncle Tim and my cousin Mabel.  I will tell you all about it next week.  Buh Bye!

Love,

October, so far.

Hello everyone!

I am having a great fall! School is going well and I am definitely still one of the biggest. Even counting the boys.  One girl is starting to creep in on my size advantage, but I am not worried.  Biggest = boss.  At least at this age. We are getting very artsy at school too.  Dad hangs my stuff on the side of our fridge. Since we got a new fancy stainless fridge he's weird about having stuff all over it.  But that's just my Dad for you.  I know he loves everything I make.

Two weeks ago, Happy & Umpy came to visit.  We had a great time!  I went down for my nap on Friday and when I woke up, I was alone with them! Mom & Dad had snuck away while I was sleeping.  Nice trick.  But I didn't mind.  We had fun without them.  They took me to the bookstore and let me pick out some new books.  They got lost on the way home from the bookstore, and even though I knew where we were, I don't know the words for that sort of thing.  Pointing didn't seem to help much.  Mom & Dad came home the next day and we all played together til they left on Monday morning. We went to Ikea and bought my own table and chairs! If only I had someone to eat with...and I am not talking to you Charley! Quit stealing my food!

We spent some time with Mom & Dad's friends and Poppy, Rah Rah and Sam last weekend.  I hadn't seen them in like 10 days! I am sure they were missing me terribly.  I tend to have that effect.  We got to face time with the Anders too! I saw a little boy in the parking lot at school yesterday from a distance and I said "Beau!" Mom said it wasn't him, but I still think it might have been.  Maybe he just didn't hear me.  I can't wait for him to come visit.

This weekend we are going to a pumpkin patch - I'll post some pics next week! Love you all.  Roll Tide!

Mom wanted to add this to show my absurd amount of hair.

I love stacking toys. Making things nice and organized makes me happy.  I am my father's daugther.

Waiting for Happy & Umpy!

At Barnes & Noble.  Stop making me try to read when there are TOOYYYYYYSSSS here!

Landon, table for 1.

I got skinny jeans! Dad picked them out.

Up late with Dad on Saturday night.

My friend Grail.  I am not sure about sharing chairs.

Watching Mickey.  Waiting on Mom & Dad to get dressed so we could go to the park!

On the move at the park.

This girl was cramping my style at the park.  I don't like other kids being on things I MIGHT want to play with.
