Beau! And other happenings...

Hello everyone!

Beau is here! I keep reminding everyone, just in case they forget.  I walk around our house and Poppy's house saying "Beau!" I say it and point to him sometimes.  Sometimes I call out his name when he has left the room.  Sometimes I say it as we turn onto Poppy's street and I am just plain old excited to see him.

Friday we went to see Santa with Mom, Dad and Erin.  I love outings and I was having a great time until it was time to sit on that old man's knee.  He seemed nice enough I guess, but I'd really rather not.  Otherwise, we've been spending a lot of time hanging out at Poppy's.  I love his Christmas tree, I spend a good amount of time standing in front of it just saying "Oh wow!"

We had a Christmas party at my school last week.  Mom came as did a bunch of other semi-old folks and they all sat on the floor with us while we ate our special treats.  Mom tried to snag a few bites of my food but I would take it back from her and say "no"!  After I ate, she and I made a few Christmas crafts together and then I got to go home early! Good day.

We leave on Thursday to go to North Carolina to see Mom's family.  We will spend a few days with them before coming back on Christmas Eve to hang out with Dad's family.  Everyone wants to spend time with Landon I guess.

Here are some pics of what I've been up to lately.

Waiting in line to see Santa.  I had no idea...

Next in line.  Still no clue.

IS THIS THE FACE OF A CHRISTMAS KID??? NO!

Looks like we are saying a prayer together in front of the tree.  We are not.

Oh wow.

This is a house we pass on the way home from school.  The owner must really like Christmas.

It was cool.  And overwhelming.

Giant reindeer are a little weird.

Delicious brunch yesterday with Mom and Dad's friends.  I was the only kid.  Luckily they are about to have a baby in a few weeks so there were some toys that needed to be broken in.

Catching up with Beau over drinks on our first day back together.

Sharing...or at least looking like we are.

Tickle time with Aunt Erin!

My table at my class party.  Notice I am at the head of the table. These are just a few of my peeps.

December, so far.

Hi friends!

I don't have a whole lot to report, but wanted to say hello.  Blogging from school, just finished my cereal.  Monday and Thursday are cereal days.  Eh, I could take it or leave it (of course, I always take it).  But I prefer french toast day or turkey sausage biscuit day.  Lunch better be substantial today!

December has been pretty quiet so far. Our house smells good and there are some white lights around.  Supposedly some people have actual trees in their houses with fun things hanging from them.  We do not.  Mom said I am not ready for that yet.  She thinks that when she turns her back I will pull it down, smash the ornaments with my bare feet, and then pretty much set the tree on fire while laughing.  Interesting thought.  But she is probably not far off.  So for now we have some green stuff and lights on the mantle.  Out of my reach.  Oh well, next year!

We had some friends over on Saturday to watch football.  I can sort of say "Roll Tide", but mostly just the "rollllllllllll".  These friends brought snacks over and I got to stay up late! Aunt Lauren brought a pizza dip and I thought it was amazing.  So amazing that I was quadruple-dipping with my chip.  Basically the chip was just a spoon.  They finally tried to lure me away with some goldfish and a toy.

Sunday we went to see Poppy.  He was not feeling so hot last week so I came over to give him a hug and make him laugh.  I think I helped make him feel better. However, he has a moving Santa in his house.  Not a fan.  There is also a new playground in his neighborhood that we went to check out.  It even has a toddler section but who wants to waste time on that? Please.

OMG almost forgot.  BEAU IS HERE! I AM GOING TO SEE HIM TOMORROWWWWWWW!!!!!
I can't wait to show him how much I have grown.  We will post pics of our reunion!

Love,
L.E.R.

We have a new helper at school. She needed to learn our names. Mom thought this was funny.

Dance party on the patio!

Blurry, I know.  But this is how we chill.

Mmmm, pizza dip.  Don't mind if I do.

Licking the bread before putting back in the dip.

Fine! I will just sit here with my goldfish!

Walking to the new park near Poppy's house!

After dinner reading with Dad.

Thanksgiving 2012

Hello everyone!

We are back from a wonderful Thanksgiving trip.  We went to Seabrook Island, SC to see about 6 million people on my Happy's side of the family.  We got down there on Wednesday night just in time for dinner. After my long, quiet car ride I was all of a sudden expected to hug a gaggle of strangers.  Um, pass.  I clung to my Mom for about 10 minutes before deciding these people looked pretty fun so I insisted she put me down so I could mingle.  My cousins were all a bit older but I had no second thoughts about following them around, yelling and getting in the mix.  I stayed up til almost 9:30 on the first night, which sort of became the norm for our vacation.  (Back to 7:30 now that we are in "real life" again.  Boo.)  Happy and Umpy even volunteered to get up with me every morning so Mom and Dad could sleep late.  But since I wasn't going to bed til 9:30, I was sleeping til almost 8.  And Mom says it's physically impossible for her to sleep late anymore. Even with magic pills.  Whatever that means.

The next day was Thanksgiving.  We went to the park with Happy, Umpy, Margot & Will.  I had quite the audience for my sliding, swinging and running around.  I ate it up. We spent the rest of the day cooking and hanging out before meeting up with the rest of the family for dinner.  Mom said I completely botched my Thanksgiving by only eating rolls but I don't care.  There was a big family golf tournament on Friday, but Mom didn't play since someone needs to hang out with me (HA! Like she'd play anyways!) Our house was on the golf course and I saw Dad go by in the cart so we went out to say hello.  Apparently you cannot scream "DADDY!!!!" while other players about to swing.  They got to do a do-over, so all is well.  We had a big cookout at the beach on Friday night, but Mom, Dad and I didn't stay too long.  They didn't like me eating/throwing sand nor my fascination with the bonfire.

Saturday we went to Kiawah Island to go to the Nature Center to see turtles, snakes, etc.  This was pretty cool but it was getting close to nap time and I was hungry so I wasn't as enthusiastic as I could have been.  There was even a stuffed real bobcat that I was sure to never really take my eye off.  Just in case he decided to come back to life.  Later that day we went to see Santa (H*LL NO! It's going to be awhile til I get on board with him) and get some ice cream.

I was sad to leave my family, but luckily Christmas is coming soon.

OH! And P.S.  ROLL TIDE!
Park on Thanksigving Day!
Swinging with Uncle Will.

It looks like we are going a lot faster than we really were...

Over it.

Tickle time with the old folks!

Helping get the green beans ready for dinner.

Helping wears me out! Dad too, obviously.

Pre-dinner snack.

Aunt Margot and I ready for the big dinner!

Checking out the lay of the land on Thanksgiving.  New house. Where to cause mischief first...

Showing Happy how to work an ipad.

Me and some of the older kids.  And Umpy too.

Just hangin' with the big kids!

Some of my favorite people.

Talking to my cousin Lily.

A very intense "Row Row Row Your Boat" with Umpy.  I don't mess around.

Shopping with Aunt Margot while everyone was golfing.

Not the best photo, but there was a Christmas festival in the village! Scary Santa included!

My cousins!

BUBBBBBBBBBLES!

Beach cookout.  I was a walking fre hazard.

A stern talking to from Dad about the dangers of touching fire.

Old-ish people.

We could be models for beach hair.

First Christmas tree spotting of the season!!!

Happy helping me get an upclose view.

Look at my cute new sweater.  I managed to possibly destroy it on day one of wearing it.

This is my favorite way to walk.  A person on each side if at all possible.

At the nature center.  Since Mom couldn't get me and the creatures in one pic, she chose me.  We are looking at baby gators!

A really big turtle!
Mmmm.  This is before I insisted on many bites of Margot's ice cream too, which lead to chocolate all over my face.
